Fun with Fabrics

ohhh Tuesdays.... why do I loathe you so! I guess because Tuesdays are my Mondays and the first day of my work week! But I had 2 very productive days off this week and I'm looking forward to a few extra days off next week with my brother in town visiting! Woo Hoo!! But until then I'm going to try and brighten up the day by bringing you a card I made using an amazing Tiddly Inks image for their weekly challenge

This weeks Tiddly Theme is: Fabric Fun - use any kind of fabric on your card -

Here my card using: Wryn - Spring Bling

I made this card using a very different color combination from what I usually choose. My ultimately I knew that orange and blue are complimentary colors on the color wheel so I went with it! It's always nice to venture out and try new things when crafting =)

I appreciate you taking a peek and I look forward to seeing all of this weeks challenge cards!!

Fabulous Friday

So... It's Friday! Woo Hoo!! Although I don't know why I'm so excited it's Friday because I do have to work all weekend... hmmm. I guess there is just something about Friday that reminds me that a day off from work will soon come! =)

If it being Friday isn't enough to get you excited, how about a new Wryn image from Tiddly Inks? I thought so! Without further adieu here she is!

Isn't she just fabulous! I added the thank you stamp down at the bottom... but this images is so cool because you can use it for just about any occasion! When I started this card it wasn't my intention to make her so "blue" but it just sort of turned out that way. I found these beautiful roses from Prima and I just had to use them!

I'm still in the learning stage of using my copics. Unfortunately, I don't have too many to choose from. But thanks to the other AMAZING artist on the Tiddly Inks design team, I do believe I am gradually getting better =) So thank you to all of my amazing team mates for your inspiration!!

Have a GREAT weekend y'all!

So sweet

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I made using an older image from Whimsie Doodles. I love this image in itself but I also love how it comes in a bundle of 6 images and all for only $5.00! You can make 6 cards for 6 different occasions using images that cost less than $1.00 a piece! Sweet!!

Materials used: Scrap cardstock and patterned paper, wrinkled ribbon, pearls, buttons, embroidery floss, and paper punches by Martha Stewart crafts. Oh, and my sewing machine =)

I paper pieces this entire image and cut out the pieces to layer on top of foam for added dimension. I also chalked around each piece to add a little more color depth.

I am also entering this card in the folowing challenge:
Pollycraft- ribbon and buttons
CES Challenges- Spots and Dots
Allsorts- anything goes
Totally Paper Crafts- Ribbon/ Bows

Hope everyone has a great week!

Oh, Scrap!

So I'm getting an early start this morning before the kids get into their full crazy mood for the day. I love the first few hours of the morning when they are still a little bit sleepy and will actually sit still for awhile.=)

Today I'm bringing you a card I made for this months Whimsie Doodles Challenge. The theme is "Oh, Scrap!" Your card has to be made using scraps of textured cardstock and patterned paper.  I personally love  this challenge because I have sooo much paper! I'm fairly confident I could wallpaper the entire house with it! It's nice to make use of all the extra tid bits of paper laying around.

Theme: Oh, Scrap!

Materials used: Whimsie Doodles image, copic markers, foam squares, scrap cardstock, scrap paper from My Minds Eye, button, pearls, and wrinkle ribbon from Shari's Paper Trail on etsy.

Thanks so much for looking! Have a great week everyone!
