Blast from the Past

This week at Meljen's the challenge was to show your first project using one of their digital stamps. I had a hard time locating all of my photos but this was one of the very first cards I made! I'm still pretty new to the "digital world" but I had so much fun putting this little card together =) I made in August of last year.

The stamp I used was :Loving Ewe and can be purchased at WhimsyStamps.com!

Happy Crafting!!

Today was my Monday at work and I can already tell that it's going to be a L O N G week! I don't mind working a full time job but man... between my job and being a single mom of 2 kids I don't get a lot of time to craft!! I find myself looking forward to my days off just so I can finish up a project =) Here is a card I made this week using a New release image from Whimsy Stamps. I love this image so much because it is so calm and sweet and can be used for all kinds of occasions!

Stamp Used: Forget Me Not

Wanting to Join Whimsie!!

Okay, so working with digital stamps has been a passion of mine for a while now. you could say it's my "New Thing" =) I currently design for Whimsy Stamps as you all know but now I would LOVE to design for Whimsie Doodles as well! they are having an open DT call and I have applied. Keep your fingers crossed for me!! Here is one of the projects I submitted.

I created this card using the ADORABLE Patience Pixie stamp from Whimsie Doodles. It's only the second card I've made using my Copic Markers but I like the way it turned out. =)

Some other materials used were: Prima flowers, Prima pearls, Leaf die cuts (using Martha Stewart rose leaf punch) and I did some matching stitching around the edges of my card. Thanks so much for taking a peek!!

Oh! Here is one more mini card I made today also using a Whimsie Stamp Image. This little lion is actually a rubber cling stamp i picked up on SALE!

Have a GREAT week everyone and check back tomorrow for another fun project from the new August release at Whimsy Stamp!

A Whimsy Challenge- Stitch in Time

Hey guys! I have another project using a wonderful new release digital image from Whimsy Stamp! I made the following card using an image from the Summer Memories Sentiments!

I have featured some new felt designs on this card as well. I always try and give my projects some dimension and felt is a great way to achieve that goal! The heart and leaves were all cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities dies in my cuddlebug machine =)

Whimsy Stamp also has a brand NEW CHALLENGE BLOG! I'm so excited about all the new challenges and the GREAT images they are giving away to the winners! This weeks Challenge is to use STITCHING in your project! Don't worry... you don't need a sewing machine... I hand stitched my heart and leaves using embroidery floss and a large needle =)

Wild Thing

I've been sick and out of the look for over a week now! Today was the first day I was well enough to get up and create at the craft table. And man did it feel GREAT! I made a card today using an adorable image from Meljen's Designs. The stamp is: Cubbin' Around and is now available for purchase on the Whimsy Stamp website!

The Meljen's Designs challenge blog had a great challenge going on this week as well! The challenge was to use BLACK in your project! I noticed after I had finished the card that I had used all Halloween colors...lol.. but I still think it worked out well for the challenge. =)

All of the coloring on the tigers was done using plain ole crayola brand colored pencils. Yep... the ones you can get at Walmart right now for just a few dollars! I have started collecting Copic markers but as I am a single mom of 2... the process is slow! =) In the meantime I will settle for the cheap and inexpensive way to color my images!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out all the cool new images for August now available at Whimsy Stamp!

God Bless!
