C H A N G E S

Align Center So I've been absent from the craft world for awhile now. I took on a lot of responsibilities this summer and haven't been able to keep up with them! Life has also been throwing lots of curve balls my way and with a husband and 2 kids you can always expect things to get derailed from time to time. I feel the need to apologize to my customers and those that support me for my lack of communication. I do hope that in the end everyone will leave satisfied and understand that I am a full time working mom that crafts on the side! So far everyone has been absolutely awesome and understanding and I appreciate it so much!

My goal is have things settled down in the next month or so. I hope to be able to re-fill my etsy store and be able to take on more custom orders. I have hated turning people down in the past few months but I just haven't had the time! If I have missed anyone or need to respond to a questions please feel free to e-mail me at k_snelling_3@hotmail.com. I will be trying to tie up all loose ends this weekend. I will be taking a few weeks to take a breather, regroup, and get back to the creative drawing board. I look forward to bringing you some new and fresh designs.

Ocotober MPTS Challenge Project

Wow, is it October 1st already? I can't believe how fast the time is passing this year!! Since it's the first of the month it's time to reveal my project for the More Paper Than Shoes monthly Challenge! This design team is just full of wonderful and talented ladies and I'm having a great time being a part pf it! Here was the challenge:
"We don't want to be fairy and bright, we want to be scary and give them a fright"!
Requirements:
NO ORANGE or Yellow!!!
These two colors CANNOT be used on your project!!! Supplies: Glitter and ribbon Embellishment: Hand made flower Technique: embossing Surface: ANY

So, I wasn't quite paying attention on NOT using yellow! Oops! I'm glad I didn't use more but there are a few yellow buttons that accidentally snuck their way in! I also forgot the flower! Which is horrible because I make flowers ALL the time! lol

This amazing digital stamp is from Tiddly Inks. I just discovered their website and was so excited to be able to use one of the images I saw. She is called Betty Belfrey and I had a blast putting her all together!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and see my project!

More Paper Than Shoes Challenge- Rusty Bucket

So the September challenge projects have been posted on the More Paper Than Shoes blog! There are so many great projects created by my fellow Design Team artist! Here was the challenge:

Theme: Rustic (Rusty Bucket)
Supplies: Metal and Twine (any kind of rope).
Surface: ANY
Technique:Torn paper

When I was reading about the challenge the first thing I thought about was my grandparents. They have been in my life since the day I was born and are a huge part of me. Coming from a family of divorced parents, I wanted to pay tribute to them, their marriage, and the great example that they have set for me and my brothers. They married in 1954 for a total of 56 years! So, thanks Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Jim for always being there for me and for showing me what love is all about!

A little about me...

K I N D R A

I am a wife of almost 7 years now and a mother to two beautiful children. I have a wonderfully imaginative 6 year old boy named Kambel and a crazy red headed daughter names Kamryn (loving referred to as "Big Red") who is almost 11 months. We live in the Midwest area along with our 2 dogs and 3 cats. I work almost full time and run my website and etsy store on the side. I have been in love with everything crafty since Elementary school. I was an art geek in High school and would love to at some point pursue it in college. I started scrabooking when I was in High School and have been hooked every since!!

I N S P I R A T I O N

My inspiration would have to be... EVERYTHING! From plane tickets to postcards to old letters... I love to keep and display everything. You know you are a hardcore scrabooker when you get some cute embellishments and have to take pictures just to match your materials! I love colors as well! Many of my items are pretty vintage but I find the colors of the Earth... browns, greens, grays, and black to be just as inspirational.

M A T E R I A L S

Well, it's no surprise that I love to use paper! I love to shade it, stain it, tear it, crumble it... you name it! I also love fibers such as twine, lace, ribbon, and yarn. I've been expanding lately to incoorperate more. I recently did a project on canvas and have started to use fabrics and tulle. That's the great thing about crafting. Anything goes!

W O R K S P A C E

I use to have a great big work area that was cluttered with more items than I could possible use in a lifetime. It was Heaven!! And then... my daughter came along and I had to do something I NEVER thought I'd have to do... Organize! Now I have a huge cabinet that stays somewhat clean. I'm holding out for a larder space here in the future!

R A N D O M

My husband and I both come from "K" families. I'm Kindra and he's Kerry. Just in our immediate family we have: Karon, Kris, Kaye, Kevin, Kolby, and Kaylene. We decided to carry on the trend in naming our kids, Kambel and Kamryn. I know, I know, how "Korny" =)
