Meet The Divas Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!! My name is Kindra and I'm super excited about joining the Whimsie Doodles Team! We have a fantastic blog hop going on today and I hope you will take the time to visit everyone's blogs! For a complete list of today's blog rotation visit Whimsie Doodles! Here is a little about me!

5 Doodlelicious Things About Me

1. My first paper craft project was a scrapbook I made the year after I graduated High School that I filled with all of my favorite HS memories. I had a great time putting it together and I've been hooked on papercrafting every since!

2.When I'm not papercrafting, I enjoy... Well... I'm a full time working Single mom to 2 small children so my free time is VERY limited!! But when I'm not crafting I love to spend time with my kids (ages 7 and almost 2) travel, fish, read, and visit with friends. My kids are the very best part of my life and I love finding something new and exciting each day to be thankful for.

3. It's so hard to pick a favorite, but right now my favorite Whimsie Doodles image to create with is Frankie! I absolutely love crafting for Halloween and this little guy is just so stinking cute! He kinda reminds me of a vampire Frankenstein! lol

4. My favorite papercrafting technique would have to be... using my sewing machine!! I use my machine somehow on almost every project I create! I love experimenting with all of the different options and adding stitching to all of my projects!

5. My favorite embellishments to use are flowers! I started making flowers about 4 years ago and sold them online for a number of years. I have made over a thousand (yes you heard me right) over the years and somehow I just never get sick of them!

So now that you know a little bit about me... let me share some of my work!! The following projects were made using... you guess it...FRANKIE!

For this project I started by picking up a little unfinished wood coffin box. Only cost me $1.99 at Michaels! The I painted the outside black and using mod podge I attached all of my embellishments to the outside of the box. And be proud of me because I didn't even use any flowers! ;) I colored Frankie using my copic markers and attached him to the box using 3D foam squares. I'm still a beginner using copics but I'm trying to learn!

The second project I made using Frankie is just a basic Halloween card. I layered my background papers and sewed them together using just a basic stitch. The I just layered on some Halloween embellishments and popped Frankie on using some more 3D foam! Quick and simple and I think he turned out well!

Alright... Alright... Enough about me!! It's time for you to move on and meet the rest of the Doodlelicious Divas! Don't forget to visit the Whimsie Blog at the very end and leave a comment! You could be the winner of one of the fantastic New release September images!!!

Next stop is: Laura!

These are both so fun!!! Somehow I don't think flowers would have gone well with Frankie, but then again something in black might have worked :>) Your flowers look gorgeous btw.
